Transplanting Baby Plants

Many new gardeners are just a little bit nervous about transplanting plants. In this fun and easy to watch video you’ll see exactly what to do and gain the confidence to transplant with sucess. The fun part about this is that planting doesn’t have to be all neat and tidy –

You can get your hands dirty and get a little sloppy with it as long as you follow a few basic rules. I’ll also tell you what to do if you’re starting late in the season and the plants you purchase are the last ones left in the nursery. They might be a little wilted but I promise that there is hope for them!

Homework:

Make a kneeling board for when you work in your garden beds. The most simple thing is to get a piece of plywood that is roughly 3’x5′ and at least a 1/2″ thick. The kneeling board helps to distribute your weight and portect the soil from compaction in the times you need to be working in the bed.
