Today, we’re going to talk about the THREE KEY THINGS that you need to know when you’re looking to buy seeds. Farmer John explains why it’s important to buy heirloom seeds, the life expectancy of common seeds, along with how to properly store your seeds and why that’s beneficial.
Homework:
Start a seed collection! First pick an area where you are going to store your seeds. In the beginning, it might be as simple as using a mason jar in a back corner of the fridge. Remember from the video – store your seed where they will be dark, cool, and dry.
If you’ve already got a seed collection take a moment to evaluate if the location for storage is good enough. Hopefully you are not storing them in the greenhouse, or above the stove!
“By seeing the seed of failure in every success, we remain humble. By seeing the seed of success in every failure we remain hopeful.”
